A good review.
But I am out of any compassion for the forces of evil. There is just too much pain, and too much of it is deliberately inflicted by a fairly small number of psychopaths, and their followers.
Perhaps the followers are deluded, perhaps they have had a bad shake. Who cares? Fuck them.
My sympathy is for example with the 666 children of asylum seekers who were deliberately separated from their parents, of whom no information was kept, and then the kids were told that their parents didn't want them.
It's my belief that almost every character on the show you are reviewing would strongly approve of that action, legally genocide, because the children are brown-skinned.
The American "heartland" has had years to learn some tiny hint of compassion, years to find out what the actual facts of the world are, and they've spent the time in hateful mockery and denial of the truth.
Your previous article is about the pandemic getting worse in the US - and this is precisely because of the people depicted in Hillbilly Elegy, and their fellow travellers.
So thanks for the review, but I would never watch this show. The only entertainment that I would get is seeing people I disliked suffer, and that's bad for your soul.
