A million guns in the hands of people of color, and there would be gun control. All it took was a few Black Panthers walking around with legal rifles and Ronald Reagan instantly swung in favor of gun control.

The key would be the organization distributing the weapons - they'd need to make sure that they were giving weapons to people with standing in their own individual communities, not randoms who might do bad things.

As I write it, I find the idea more horrifying and less convincing: rather than erase it I'll leave it for some food for thought for you, but tell me if it's too stupid for words and I'll erase it.
