Ah, I’m loving this article, but to say Turing was only rediscovered ten years ago is just not right.

As a mathematician, I always knew about him, but he burst into the consciousness of everyone else with the bestselling 1983 book “Alan Turing: The Enigma,” which has been translated into a dozen languages and made (fairly recently) into a movie.
