Ah, yes, it's those ignorant poor people who are to blame!

Ever visited the sorts of schools America gives to the "lower classes of society"? I have. I was honestly shocked. Almost no books or materials. Water leaking through every roof. Teachers who were actively hostile to their students. Kids standing at the back because there were not enough chairs.

And instead of studying skills that might be enlightening, or fun, or useful, they are required to memorize meaningless facts so they can regurgitate them in endless and useless standardized tests.

That's right - in 2021, endless memorization of facts that you could look up in a second on the Internet, and almost no teaching of techniques, concepts, or ideas.

I've travelled through the developing world, and the schools there were much better, and had teachers who acted as if they really cared.

You can do better than this casual classism, Ed.
