Ah, you fell for a practical joke, albeit a very successful one.

"Señor Coconut" is actually the German electronic musician Uwe Schmidt, who moved to Chile and produced this brilliantly clever and musical album, which I also own. The title means "The German Dance".

The opening is typical. If you recall the opening of Autobahn, it starts with someone starting a German car with a big motor. But on "El Baile Aleman", it starts with someone trying to start an old, dying motor that keeps catching and stopping.

You should get this album, it has really stood the test of time.
