Almost all technical people love innovation. Indeed, it's one of our blind spots that we prefer a fancy new solution over an old tried-and-true one.
No, the reason people live SpaceX is because they are maltreated - forced into incredibly long hours with no recourse.
I was working at Google in the 00s, when they were hugely innovative, and there was very little turnover, because they treated us so well. And people put in long hours, but you were encouraged not to burn out and to take time off for your mental health when needed.
(No idea what they are like almost twenty years later.)
