And yet atheists do not in general fall into pleasure-seeking hedonism. Why do you think that is?

Atheists almost never go to jail. Why do you think that is?

America is the most Christian country in the world, and it also is one of the most violent developed countries in the world, with one of the highest crime rates. Why might that be?

More atheist countries like in Western Europe, where I live, have very low crime rates, better life expectancies, lower income inequality, and report happier citizens.

Why is this? Why aren't we all raping, thieving, pleasure-seeking hedonists?

The answer is simple. Christianity teaches that if you just apologize to God, you're good to go, so you can keep being evil and horrible as long as you repent.

Atheists are under no such illusion. Evil we do has its consequences today. There is no eternal reward and no one to forgive us, so we have to do the best job we can right now.

What you mean by this quote is that without your beliefs, you would fall into pleasure-seeking hedonism.

Your project your irresponsibility and criminality on the rest of us, when in fact we are responsible, compassionate and law-abiding citizens.

And you won't leave us alone to live our lives. This article is a very good example of this. You portray us as morally and ethically empty, when in fact objective facts show that you theists commit far more crimes than we do.

"Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
