As one of those older people who supposedly supports Israel, let me explain those 51%.

We have watched Israel systematically crush the people of Palestine for generations now. In the last twenty years, Israel has stopped even pretending that they want a peaceful solution.

If you fill a kettle full of water, duct tape it up thoroughly, and then put it on the stove, it will explode. People who say, "This is logical consequences," and, "You need to stop what you are doing, because explosions are inevitable," are not pro-explosion.

I would note also that Israel has unofficially had a "ten for one" policy for decades now: for each Israeli who dies in the Intifada, ten Palestinians must die in retaliation.

This ratio has stayed remarkably constant for a very long time: so far, 1200 Israelis have died in the current war, and over 11,000 Palestinians, including over 5000 children.

It would be proper to mention those other casualties, but you don't. Why is that?

I'm sorry, but I've been finding your writing increasingly right-wing, pro-militarist, pro-capitalism, and anti-humanitarian. I've been following you for a long time, but all things must pass. Good luck!
