As someone who has lived in five countries with five different medical systems — the American system being of course the worst — let me ask: what the fuck is wrong with you?
How exactly do you expect to deliver quality medical care using two parallel and different systems — particularly when one system involves an insurance company that delivers no medical services taking a huge cut off the top?
America has the example of over a hundred countries in the world that successfully deliver medical care to their citizens. None of them use this system. Why do you think this is the case? What possible basis do you have to believe that it will work?
And finally, “People inherently don’t trust the government” — has it not occurred to you that this attitude is batshitinsane? That a country cannot continue to function that way? That to say, “We’re going to keep our broken system to placate the paranoids,” is wildly irrational?
As far as I’m concerned, Mayo Pete eliminated himself when he signed up to go and fight in Afghanistan in 2009. No Afghan knew anything about 9/11 before it happened — that is, if you believe the FBI, or the CIA, or simply have the common sense to understand that Bin Laden knew that the way to a successful conspiracy is to tell no one.
So by what justification did America invade their country, killing multitudes and causing havoc? You might be able to blame it on hysteria in 2001, but Buttigieg signed up to participate in a genocide eight years later. It’s morally despicable. I see it as a cynical ploy to attain higher office, which makes it worse.
Get a grip, man!
