As someone who was living in NYC for 9/11, I'd like to add that not one single Afghani knew about 9/11 before it happened, if you believe the CIA and the FBI, and the Taliban offered to give up Bin Laden under extremely reasonable conditions, but were rebuffed by Bush, who simply wanted a war.
