Before we spend hundreds of trillions of dollars colonizing Mars simply for the glory of exploration, why don't we first stabilize our climate and our biosphere on Earth?

In the 1970s, I used to believe we had the money to do both. I was clearly wrong.

Now it's clear that without some supreme effort, we will devastate our climate, our ecosystem, and ourselves.
