Biden would be infinitely better than Trump. His environmental plan is good. And of course, Trump is a ravening monster.

There is only one choice in this election - vote against the psychopath who is destroying America.

But that's the least you can do.

In the last 40 years, the Democrats have very very bad at appointing people to get things done. What did you get from Clinton? The repeal of Glass-Steagall, welfare "reform", "three strikes you're out" - leading to the incarceration state of today. Oh, don't forget the first law discussing gay marriage - by banning it.

I have whined to you about Obama before, but he had a whole year with a D congress and senate, and they produced absolutely nothing. The ACA was slightly better than what was there, but still left America with by far the most expensive health care on the planet, with the worst outcomes in the developed world. It was a bandaid on a sucking chest wound. And it folded like a cheap suit the moment it was stressed.

But you did get drone assassinations, indemnifications for all the Wall Street and Iraq War criminals, and a commitment to spent a trillion dollars on new nuclear weapons. Oh, yes, and fracking - by the end of Obama's term the US was the largest oil exporter in the world.

Doesn't matter. Rational people have to support Biden. But the moment he's elected, people need to tripled the pressure on him. I lost respect for my American friends bigtime when they just checked out of politics the moment Obama was elected and let him do as he pleased. If Obama had delivered for America, there would be no President Trump.

Don't make that mistake again. The day the election ends is the day that people need to start calling their reps every day: "WE NEED MEDICARE FOR ALL. WE NEED TO JAIL THE REPUBLICAN CRIMINALS. WE NEED TO DECIMATE THE MILITARY BUDGET TO SPEND IT ON AMERICA."

Sigh. I've been giving this speech for thirty years now. I gave up on America, left, and I still can't get over hoping you guys will straighten up and fly right. Intellectually, well, I find it impossible to believe, and I'm sorry for that.

Thanks for allowing me the soapbox on your page again. Perhaps everything will all work out, and then I'll show up and write gushing pieces about how we are seeing the sun rise again.
