Bravo!

A solution is discussed in Cyril Kornbluth’s classic story The Marching Morons — text here. I read this when I was very young, and didn’t get it. A couple of years later, I read it again — I must have been fourteen — and I understood.

Perhaps we too should send our billionaires off to “Venus” or “Mars”.

(Kornbluth was a very compassionate man, but SF involves working out the logical consequences of ideas, even if those consequences are appalling.)
