We are decades past the time where a polite solution is possible. If this were an SF movie where a tiny group of people were killing the planet, we'd know what our heroes would do.

If every human who were within reaching distance of a climate criminal just picked up any object and used it decisively, we would fix the problem surprisingly soon.

You know, I was a pacifist my whole life, and I'm still against war, but now I believe that desperate times require desperate measures.
