Brooks is one of the people who has caused the very problems he is decrying.

For example, he blames the impoverishment of the poorest 50% of the United States, not on the trillions of dollars that have been looted from the economy by a tiny number of billionaires, but on the poor themselves, who he claims are "not on the path to upward mobility" (his words).

He's a monster and quoting his crocodile tears is unreasonable.
