Damn right.

It's important for gun-happy Americans to remember that the first serious gun control legislation was passed by Ronald "father of our miseries" "drooling dotard" Reagan in response to the Black Panthers taking advantage of their Second Amendment rights.

I'm against guns. I think Americans are queer for firearms in the worst fucking way. I've never owned one, and I've never lived anywhere where there wasn't strong gun control.

But it's 2021. The masks are off, in more than one fashion. If you're a leftist, or particularly a person of color, and you live in America, you need to not just own at least one gun, you need to be prepared and educated as to how to use it.

Our opponents are bullies and therefore cowards. They are heartened by the fact that they seem to own all the guns. Any sign that the coming war might not be an easy massacre by the drooling slope-brows would fill them full of misgivings and hesitation.

Part of the reason I left America is that otherwise I would have ended up owning a gun, and it would have been an illegal gun. I have nothing against crime - I was an illegal pot smoker for decades in the US - but.

Thanks again for your fiery and informative work.
