Decades of not biking (public transport, though, I'm anti-car), and then I moved here and I go everywhere on a bike. My eight-speed is my favorite bike in my whole life and because it's Dutch, everything is sealed and it sits outside 365 days a year looking only slightly the worse for wear, and working like a dream.

My wife isn't quite so crazy and will do sensible things like "Take the train when it's raining so you don't show up looking like a drowned hamster", but I feel like I have done something morally wrong if I don't bike.
