Did we read the same article?

I read an article about what we could philosophically conclude from the fact that the universe exists.

Nothing, nothing at all!, in that article gave the impression that the author thought that, e.g. "there can be no understanding of nature" - only that the question "Why does something exist rather than nothing?" doesn't have a good answer and might not lead to a useful conclusion. And I agree with that!
