"Economic growth through free markets" has already badly damaged our climate and our ecosystem, and, unchecked, threatens to destroy our biosphere.

We've had "carbon pricing", the only solution proposed by neo-liberalism, for twenty-five years now, and the devastation has continued to accelerate.

It's sad that you can see this desperate emergency and smile and say, "Look how everything is working out!"

And one more question for you. The United States is the most neoliberal country in the world, and yet also has one of the highest suicide rates in the developed world, one of the highest rates of drug overdoses, and one of the only places were getting sick can result you losing everything you built up in life for medical costs - as well as some of the greatest income inequalities.

Would you call this a success?

Honestly, your article just made me sad, in the same way that articles by Britons claiming that Brexit was a whopping success make me sad. A better world is possible, but you want to give it to the rich.
