Fascinating article in general, but I'm skeptical that the cow was mooing cheerfully through a golden larynx after the experiment was done.

Someone else killed the animal, and probably the larynx was considered a waste product and given to them but that cow is kicking up its heels on Cow Heaven(*) right about now.
