Forty years of this same argument have left us really cold to it.

After having to choose between center-right and far-right for generations, progressive Americans are in despair.

To tell them that the idea of a non-conservative President is "a unicorn" isn't going to win hearts and minds: instead, you are simply going to encourage people to give up on America and not to vote, which would be bad.

I up and left the country forever when it was HRC vs DJT.

It cost me almost everything I had, but I have never regretted it. I spent 32 years being mocked by people like you for my political beliefs, beliefs that are boring and centrist back here in Europe, and I got sick of it being the butt of jokes by people with absolutely no knowledge of history or politics: and I wanted to get back to socialized medicine again, something that neither party talks about anymore, despite a massive pandemic.

If it all goes down and you're looking for someone to blame, find a mirror and point at it.
