From the perspective of the rest of the world, America has a far-right wing party full of delusional liars competing with a center-right wing party full of business as usual people. Your implied idea, that the truth is somewhere between them, is simply not true.

You want a compromise between sane people, and people who think that vaccination is a conspiracy, that the climate catastrophe is a conspiracy, that black people are dangerous criminals, that trans and gay people are dangerous criminals.
