Generally when people say something like this, it's because they simply make no attempt to figure out people's motivations.

Imagine you live in the Gaza Strip. You are stateless, you have no citizenship of any type. You are trapped for the rest of your life in this tiny, desperately poor area. Every calorie of food that comes in and every kilogram of building materials is controlled by Israel, who makes sure that everyone is always hungry and almost no new construction happens.

Your chance of having some sort of career, or of being able to raise a family in a stable environment, are very close to zero, and this state of affairs has lasted for over 50 years.

So with nothing to lose, if you were a Palestinian, why wouldn't you fuck shit up? If you see nothing in your future but misery, wouldn't you want to export that misery to the architects of your misery?

You could have spent some effort trying to look from the point of view of someone different from you, but instead you talked about your own prejudices as if they were universal truths.
