Given that the US government has refused to provide even the slightest piece of evidence that this really happened, the word "alleged" needs to appear in there.

Given that the government first provided us with an entirely false picture of what happened - Bin Laden coming out with guns blazing, using a woman as a human shield! - and then recanted that story without explanation as to how they could be wrong - it's hard to unquestioningly swallow the new story after that.

Do I think it didn't happen? I have no idea! Without any evidence whatsoever, it comes down to trusting the unsupported word of the US government, and decades of experience has convinced me this is a very bad idea.
