God, I hope so, but I've been waiting for fusion power for decades now. Progress appears to have speeded up somewhat, but the billions in government funding that are needed aren't there.

Sometime in the 80s, I decided not to think about fusion until some fusion reactor produced more energy, net, than it consumed.

That day has yet to come. I hope I will live to see it, but the fossil fuel companies have so far gotten their way each and every time.
