Great article, but you missed explaining a key point here - not observing the intermediate stages changes the final result!

So this isn't some sophistry. If you don't observe the particle, you get a different experimental result and one that can seemingly only be explained by interference of the particle as a wave.

Crazier yet, this is still true if your experiment only sends one particle at a time through the slits! - "the particle interferes with itself".
