Have you actually met Americans? I have - I lived there for three decades. (Yes, yes, I know you're an American, it's rhetorical, probably not a good look, oh well.)

For your average American, both of these things are very negative. Hillary was a wretched candidate in so, so, so many ways - and yet I do honestly believe that if she had been an otherwise identical man, she would have won.

Heck, even for me as a far-left leftist, her heritage isn't anywhere near as important as her history (horrifying) - her policies (mediocre) and her job performance (wildly mediocre).

The idea that someone is the "perfect candidate" simply because they are non-white, female, and had one important job that they did badly is depressing.
