Hear, hear. We think very much alike on this specific issue of units, but also on fonts in general.

I grew up under the £sd system, [20, 12], as a mathematically obsessed kid, so I've always been aware of the poverty of numeration systems without a 3 in them.

I've always been interested in making my work accessible to all, and I've been pissed off for decades now that not one company I've ever worked for except Google has ever placed accessibility anywhere in the priority list. My eyesight was never great, so there was definitely a selfish element there too.

And now that my astigmatism has gotten worse, it's gotten more personal. In particular, too many people use pastel foreground colors on dark-ish grey for code, and I'm at the point I can really not read these, so everyone who posts an article I care about with such a color scheme gets a nice email with a link pointing out that very roughly half their readers will be astigmatic.

I just downloaded your font and I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for doing the work for us, and accept claps!
