Hear, hear!
It makes me want to tear my hair out when people say that the solution to the Sixth Extinction is to move to Mars.
If we can't keep our own world alive, what possible reason do we have to believe that we can take an utterly dead world and bring it to life?
Even if we terraformed Mars, which would take literally quadrillions of dollars and centuries if it were even possible, we would still end up with a dark desert world with an average temperature around -20ºC (as opposed to Mars today, which averages -50ºC).
