Hear, hear!

We moved to Europe on December 1, 2016, yes, for the reasons you imagine, and things just got much better, even though it's been a struggle for me to earn money.

This year we moved from the Netherlands to France, and astonishingly, and despite all the expectations, people here are even nicer. Every interaction we have with our neighbors leaves us smiling and a little unbelieving of our good luck.

But it's simple: people here have not been trained into believing that other people are the enemy, and also, people move around a lot less and so they expect to have long relationships with neighbors and are very polite and interested to meet you.
