Hey, you are already a better writer than 95% of the world, so mission accomplished!

And you aren't even writing in your native language. I suspect I wouldn't do as well in French, the only of my non-native languages that I have enough facility in to actually write freely.

Your problem is not becoming a better writer: your problem is being adequately rewarded, whether in money or in human interactions, for your writing.

My guess is that a book might be better that way. A decent book with a catchy idea might result in enough money to consider part of your income.

I actually left New York City with the intention of writing a book based on a catchy idea I had, but several things happened, the most import of which was that I decided I wasn't even sure that I did want to influence people to write more computer programs, and the second being that I don't like the workflow of writing nearly as much as programming.
