How, exactly, can a bathing suit be “immoral”? “Modesty and morality” — is this Jane Austen or what? It’s hard to believe it’s the twenty-first century when people can say this with a straight face about a bathing suit.

There’s nothing immoral about the human body .Morality is treating other people, other creatures, and the environment in general with decency and kindness and fairness and respect.

What’s “immoral” is shaming young women who’ve had almost no practice in being adults. What’s “immoral” is taking away someone’s swimming victory because of someone else’s subjective dislike of what they were wearing.

Trying to damage kids’ lives because of someone’s Puritan morality is what’s immoral — and yes, this does make these people bad.

For God’s sake America — grow up! I can’t believe it’s 2019 and we’re still arguing about this!
