Hundreds is a huge understatement. Mines have killed over 18,000 people in Cambodia after the war. Worldwide, in 2022 alone, at least 4710 people were injured or killed by mines, nearly all civilians.
I would also note that while 164 countries have signed the "Ottawa Convention" to ban landmines, the United States, Russia and China have not.
