I agree with every word, but you missed a detail - if Facebook got rid of all the automation, they wouldn't be able to make anywhere near as much money, if at all.

Does this make you wrong? Heck, no! Facebook has a business model that is uneconomic unless they behave with psychopathic indifference to humanity. If they can't make money by being a non-destructive force, they should go to the wall.
