I agree with everything else in this article, but adding type hints does take longer, and it's not to do with one's typing speed!

I add type hints to everything, though, because overall the time I spend thinking up and writing the hints is made up for by the reduced number of errors, and it results in much better software - but that software does take a bit longer to write.
