The consensus of Christians is that you don't go to Hell if you haven't heard the world of Christ before you die. In Purgatorio, Dante depicts the "Virtuous Pagans", who "live" there in Purgatory.

The whole story of the Christian afterlife, particularly the God of Love's amazing invention, Hell, is cruel, inconsistent and childish of course.
