I agree with everything you write!

But you missed a big one - reserve an area, no matter how tiny, to be your work area. The dedicated work area, or chair, or whatever, is incredibly effective.

I bypass a lot of your good suggestions - for example, I work in pajamas all day quite a lot (in fact, that usually means I'm on a roll!)

However, when I sit in front of this machine, it's my work spot, and I nearly always work - it puts me into a work head. (Essays are work! ;-) ) When I'm elsewhere, I'm off duty.

To be honest, I also avoid the Internet almost entirely when I'm not in front of this machine, and avoid keeping my phone in our bedroom. Having at least twelve hours a day with no Internet at all, every day, gives my keyboard time a new urgency.

Thanks for an entertaining article.
