I appreciate the attempt to whitewash us but there is simply too much guilt.

White guys, "white devils" somehow comes to mind here, guys looking a lot like me, have put our biosphere onto a path to destruction. Some things are just too awful to forgive.

History isn't really going to remember that a few of us tried in a polite and ineffectual way to mitigate it.
