I clapped after each paragraph and also at the end!

My one quibble is that Jimmy Carter was totally right. He believed that if we explained to the citizens of America the magnitude of the problem facing them with respect to energy, then they would do the right thing.

Yes, this failed, but this was the morally, ethically, and logically correct thing to do, even if it only had a small chance of working. Some causes are so important they are worth fighting for even if you are almost certain to lose.
