And I almost never add salt to my restaurant meals at all, because I often find them too salty to start with.

What bearing does this have on my work as an engineer? Absolutely none.

If I were hired over someone else because they salted their soup before tasting it and I didn't, I would consider it wildly unfair, and I would start to consider if I had really made the right decision.
