If you recall, the KKK was originally an anti-Catholic organization, and only somewhat later got into murdering people of color.

The KKK was officially centered around racial identity while Christian nationalists are officially centered around religious identity, though I'll bet the Christian nationalists and the White Pride people have a huge overlap, and for that matter, I'll bet the Christian nationalists are only lukewarm about the Catholics, the so-called "godless Papists".

Don't get me wrong - these Christian nationalist guys are really dangerous (and note that CN is the chemical symbol for cyanide).

With enough cheating, they could establish their goal of rewriting the Constitution to make America officially Christian, and imagine how that would go for everyone else?
