I disagree. I think even most incompetent people would do a perfectly good job at this. Very, very few people would have the chutzpah to believe they were smarter at epidemiology than medical professionals — even the most incompetent person would simply get doctors to get experts, and stay out of the way.

No, it takes a unique person to actually override the correct advice of doctors with not even a clear if incorrect plan, but incoherent daily wanderings, whims and bloviations.

I think not one in a thousand people could have handled this as badly as Donald Trump. It’s quite an accomplishment.
