I disagree with your first couple of paragraphs.
If we on the non-crazy side stand for anything, it’s factual truth, and the willingness to correct our own errors to be factually true at the end.
One of the annoyances of Umair, who’s entirely right in the big picture, is he makes glaring errors of fact, not even ones that negate his point!, but dumbshit like “Europe is smaller than the US,” and then never ever corrects.
(And he constantly misuses “it’s” to within an inch of “it’s life”. And never corrects. Sigh.)
“They won’t have standing,” is exactly what I thought too when I first heard about this. The kourt would have to be pretty kangaroo not to literally throw it out.
What if you find some crazy county judge somewhere? Can you enforce that $10k judgement you got in Abilene on a provider in Austin?
I blame the Fascist-oriented Supreme Court.
(What happened to adding a lot more justices? Sounded like a good idea, right?)
Always the Democrats say, “Vote for our center right candidate, or the Supreme Court!!!” and yet they just wimped out on this one, when push came to shove, or more accurately, lack of shove.
In 2016, as we were preparing to leave the US forever, I was yelling quite a bit at images of humans at they appeared on my computer screen, and one of them was Obama. “No! You just can’t roll over on the Supreme Court Justice and move on to other things! Fight! Fight! Hillary might not win, it’s always a horse race!”
What a bitter disappointment Obama turned out to be. To think I cried in relief when he was elected. (Of course, compared with the corrupt war criminal before him and the monster afterward, he looks very good.)
