I do not appear in this article! Thank goodness.
I was in my 50s before I got my first hoodie, as a gift, and I only got one more after that (an antifa hoodie I treasure).
I wear a jacket most of the time, either with a t-shirt or sometimes a collared shirt, but never a tie of course.
I started wearing jackets in the 1970s. It gave me a place to keep my magic tricks and my drugs. Now I'm older and cheaper, so we keep our house quite cold and the jacket keeps me warm.
People treat you with more respect with a jacket. The t-shirts are mostly cool bands I have seen over the decades.
Paradoxically, the jackets used to make me look older, but now they make me look younger, says everyone, and I don't really understand why - perhaps because my upper body has always been a bit scrawny?
