I grew up in the Cold War. Everyone needs to be reminded of this.

That said, nuclear winter would in fact stave off climate disaster for a century or more. Which means we're more likely as a civilization to survive a nuclear war than we are the climate catastrophe.

Humans are completely irresponsible. At this point, I can't even come up with a hypothetical scenario where we survive.
