I have read the news pretty obsessively for the last 40 years or so, and it is my shame that I never heard of Prabhakaran before this article.

But I can also blame news reporting for simply not telling me about this. As you have noticed, the West isn't really interested in news from Asia.

(Or it might be that I was distracted that week or month. 30 years is a long time.)
