I live in the Netherlands, correctly the poster child for "treating drugs as a health issue". This is the only true solution.

But let's be realistic - ready access to these drugs anonymously in the mail has magnified this problem dramatically, and if the United States chose to, they could go back to screening a sufficiently large number of these packages and pressing criminal charges.

They don't, because completely liberalized, almost border-free trade with China is advantageous to our lords and masters, not because it really helps Americans as a whole.
