I love Bali and I speak good Indonesian, but living somewhere that you will always be a foreigner, a fount of money, and never a neighbor - it's a bad idea.

Also, you won't be able to get Indonesian citizenship unless you marry locally, you can't own property, and every six months you need to leave the country for a few weeks while you get a new visa.
