I love the passive voice, as if this will happen due to… what? Aliens?

What this sentence should say, “Our society will choose to compensate many jobs at less than a subsistence income”, or even more, “Our elected leaders will continue to actively erode the social contract that used to assure workers a day’s pay for a day’s work.”
