I love these articles, and yet I never send them to my friends, because there are always gross errors of fact like this one.
In fact, about 400 million hectares of the Earth's 50 billion hectares burnt in the last 12 months, so the actual number is "less than 1%", so you're off by a factor of 25.
None of these errors affect the actual reasoning, but they stick out like a sore thumb.
And you never ever ever make corrections.
I'm honestly thinking of unsubscribing. "Factual" articles with "only a few" gross errors are like food with "only a little" excrement in it.
